invited competition - first prize
The project consists of a new artificial riverbank, which through a progressive densification of new fragments, creates a compact urban front along the north side.
The rich sculptural articulation of the architecture multiplies the view possibilities from the buildings towards the river bend. The project houses indoor spaces for entertainment and leisure, hotels and tertiary functions.
The complex is arranged in four blocks. The tallest building, the headquarters of a major company, is with its 50-meter height the urban front of the settlement. The hotel is located on the opposite side, with long volumes that stretch to enjoy the panoramic view of the Danube. Between these fronts are the two central office blocks.
A footpath passes through the buildings and forms a long pedestrian plaza, made of green courtyards and cobbled streets, underpasses, stretches of water and underground areas where the building entrances are located.
The facades are glazed: double-skin systems with various compositions, shapes, and shades of brise-soleil, which will characterize the new complex as an authentic and brilliant mosaic on the architectural scale.
