In the Milanese recollection, the building in piazzale Loreto is lights, movements, reflections and shimmers at the end of the urban axis of corso Buenos Aires.
Deepest is the memory are its night performances, when horizontal stripes of colorful light illuminated its facades and the front on piazzale Loreto, followed by that of the unique installations on its roof, which reinforced its iconic character making the “palazzo di fuoco” (fire palace) a true landmark in the city landscape.
It’s therefore the night appearance that most expresses its qualities.
Under daylight, the particular volumetric structure defined by different heights frames its integration with the city, on the two routes of viale Monza and via Padova.
Besides dealing with the upgrade of the building structure, layouts and energy perfomance, the refurbishment will focus on its remake as a symbol.
