Primary School
Parma, Italy
2013
Competition.
The school complex generates a new centrality in the district, connecting paths and unifying the various green areas already present in the neighborhood.
Volumes define a diagram simple, with spaces for collective use (gym, locker rooms and multipurpose room) statements along the main street, and those for teaching willing to L to the courtyard / garden that characterizes the entrance area school.
The separation of access makes possible an independent use of space-school (gymnasium and auditorium) and the canteen. Service functions (canteen, office, playroom) and collective activities (theater room, gym) are located on the ground floor, while the educational activities (classrooms, laboratories, library) are located on the upper floors. The particular attention paid to the aspects of physical technique integrated into the architectural design of the building has achieved a standard passive energy.
The articulation of the volumes and facades offers a viable solution to the problems of solar radiation throughout the year, without the need for protective systems furniture. The entire building is made of wood, with a constructive form of m. 7,80x7,80 making it extremely flexible interior spaces.
